Matt Josselyn Named MASCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Middlesex Expos RHP is having a great graduate season for Bridgewater State University, well tack on one more accomplishment for this year. Matt Josselyn has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Josselyn tossed seven scoreless innings in the Bears’ 18-0 MASCAC win over MCLA last week. The Hanson, Massachusetts product scattered seven hits, walked three and fanned a season-high nine batters in the victory over the Trailblazers.

In five appearances on the mound for the Bears this season including four starts, Josselyn is 2-1 with 24 strikeouts and a 1.88 earned run average over 24 innings of work. Opponents are also batting just .209 against him.

Josselyn currently ranks fourth in the MASCAC in ERA and seventh in strikeouts per nine innings pitched (9.00). He is also tied for sixth among the conference leaders in wins, and tied for tenth in both games started and innings pitched.
